Welcome to the official website of the Metropolitan Philadelphia Area Chapter of the Continental Societies, Inc. It is indeed an honor and a pleasure to serve as the newly elected President of this prestigious organization.
Our national motto is: “Our children, Our Commitment, Our Concern”
The Metropolitan Philadelphia Area Chapter was chartered by 18 remarkable women on October 25, 1997, celebrating 20 years of dedicated service to our children. Since 2007 the chapter has grown and now has a current membership of 52 members.
Our chapter focuses on the five Point Programmatic Thrust (H.E.E.R.+) Health, Employment, Education, Recreation, and the Arts and Humanities in the community consisting of Philadelphia, Delaware, and Montgomery counties. Some examples of our activities include:
- Health: Oral Health: Colgate Bright Smiles/ Dental Screening
- Education: S.T.E.M., increasing the awareness of elementary aged students in
- Employment: Careers and job readiness
- Recreation: Special Needs Basketball Olympics
- Arts and Humanities: Arts/Literacy and S.T.E.M.
Each year we sponsor our Signature Event “Spring Fling,” and a Scholarship Luncheon.
The Spring Fling provides funds in support of our scholarships for students attending
college. The Metropolitan Philadelphia Area Chapter to date has awarded over $100,000
